41 Willys Restoration Progress

Getting ready for high build primer

Here are some pictures of the 65 Mustang in first coats of super build primer. We will block this down starting with 100 grit and work our way up to 320 grit to get it ready for high build primer.  

41 Willys in Paint Booth

Here we have the parts of the 41 willys in the spray booth, ready for first sprayable putty coats. We will put three coats on at this time, waiting for it to flash of in between coats. We will bake the sprayed parts at 130F for about 30 minutes and then let it sit overnight (...)

41 Willys Restoration Progress

Here is the progress report on Doug’s 41 Willys Restoration project. We removed the motor as it is getting rebuilt by Dale at DSE. We are repairing all the cracks in the fiberglass with matt and resin and then doing the body work, getting it ready for the first round of spray filler.    

1965 Mustang Bodywork

We now have all the metal work done on the 65 Mustang!!! We are getting ready to put two coats of epoxy primer on the body and all the parts. We will let that dry for a couple days and then bolt it all back together and line up everything before we start the body (...)

1965 Mustang Fastback Restoration

We are doing the metal work on Igor’s 1965 Mustang fastback. We are replacing the lower cowl panels and rocker panels. We will set all the gaps at this time as well. They will require welding and grinding to make them even before body work. We will get all the metal work done, then spray (...)

Final paint on the 71 Mustang Convertible

Well the 71 mustang is all painted. it has four coats of high build clear on it. We have baked it at 135F for 60 minutes. We will let it cure for a few more days and then start the wet sanding and polishing process.
